Horn/Sch. 9695. – Main publication by the entomologist and engraver Moses Harris (1731-1785), in which he shows the development of the butterflies with its host plants. – This is a revised version by John O.Westwood (1805-1893), who was well-known because of his entomologistical publications. – The decorative engravings are fine and precisely done, the colours are luminous and impressive. – Slightly browned, text pages with minimal foxing, title page with reversed impression.
