ORNAMENTIK – ROCHGA, Rud(olf) und Paul HAUSTEIN.  Form & Farbe im Flächenschmuck. Stuttgart, J.Hoffmann, o.J. (1903). Folio (47 x 34). Titelblatt und 24 farblithographische Tafeln. Originalhalbleinenmappe mit Deckeltitel, (etwas angestaubt, gering fleckig).

Erste und einzige Ausgabe. – Komplett sehr seltene Mappe mit jeweils mehreren Musterentwürfen auf einem Blatt. Die Muster für Wanddekore sind typisch für die Zeit des Jugendstil bzw. Art Deco. Der Maler, Grafiker und Designer Rudolf Rochga (1875-1957) war Schüler bei Franz Stuck und wurde unter anderem durch Entwürfe für Schmuck bekannt. Zusammen mit dem Metallkunsthandwerker, Goldschmied und Medailleur Paul Haustein (1880-1944) war er als Lehrer an der Kunstgewerbeschule Stuttgart tätig. – Tafeln gering stockfleckig, Ränder teils etwas angeschmutzt. // Title and 24 coloured lithographed plates. Original half cloth folder with title on cover, (little unfresh and spotted). – First and only edition. – Complete scarce. Each plate with different patterns for wall decoration, which are typical for the Art Déco and Art Nouveau period. The painter and designer Rudolf Rochga (1875-1957) was Franz Stuck’s student and was i.a. well known for his jewellery designs. He worked ogether with the craftsman, goldsmith and the medailleur Paul Haustein (1880-1944) as a teacher in the school for arts and crafts in Stuttgart. – Some plates with slight foxing, margins partly with small stains.
